The House of Garrard and the Lanesborough Hotel proudly present a very special festive partnership, with a four-day pop-up in the hotel's Withdrawing Room from 3 - 9pm on 21 to 24 November 2018, alongside a unique Garrard-designed Christmas tree and signature cocktail, the Roséni.
The unique Christmas tree reflects the Garrard’s earliest years, when London’s theatre district was its home, opera masquerades were the height of fashion and The Lanesborough was the country mansion of the 2nd Viscount Lanesborough. Garrard had been supported by Frederick, Prince of Wales from 1735, and as a prominent patron of the arts, he was a regular visitor to the area,
From the rise of the curtain to the flicker of candlelight over the theatres’ gilded decorations, many aspects of these magnificent occasions are brought out in the Garrard tree decorations. Regal red and blush pink fans are reminiscent of those carried by the ladies of the time and the sway of the curtains can be seen in the drapes of ribbon.
Drama is on display in the decorative masks that would have been worn at the elaborate masquerade balls, and delicate crystal ornaments reflect the magnificent chandeliers. In places, Garrard’s signature designs are present too - the regal motif from the monarch’s sceptre makes an appearance in delicate golden ornaments, bringing another layer of history to this reimagining of the House of Garrard’s past.
"We are delighted to partner with The Lanesborough Hotel this Christmas to offer visitors a quintessentially British experience, reflecting the two brands’ rich heritage and passion for the very best in luxury." Joanne Milner CEO of House of Garrard
